Allison has worked for many years in Local Authority and has knowledge and experience of working with "Looked After Children".
Allison began her career in Residential Care Unit, working closely with children and young people who had complex needs, challenging and offending behaviour. This also included specialist work with young people who required high supervision levels due to their varied complex needs.
In 2002 Allison joined The Lorimer Group working as a Placements Manager for our residential provision, then in 2005 began to undertake the role of Placements for the fostering team. This involves working with Local Authorities, Foster Carers and the fostering team looking at the needs of the young people referred to Lorimer then carefully matching the young people with foster carers who can meet the needs of the children and young people.
Allison gained her NVQ 3 and Graduate Certificate in Management.
