Angela joined Lorimer Foster Services in 2007 on a part-time basis as a Supervising Social Worker. She provides support and guidance to our foster carers alongside undertaking initial and form F assessments.

Angela has various child care and management qualifications including DIPSW and NVQ4 (Management). She has over 20 years experience working with, and on behalf of Looked after children. She spent over 10 years successfully managing 3 Local Authority Secure Units that housed male and female young offenders aged between 10 and 17 years. She was instrumental in developing, supporting and supervising large staff teams making sure that departmental policy and procedures were adhered to at all times, which in turn ensured the highest quality care was provided.

More recently Angela spent a year as Head of Year 7 at a mainstream Secondary School. She was responsible for all pastoral issues that occurred with either students or their families.  Angela has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the social care setting.
