Theresa is a qualified social worker she holds various Child Care qualifications including N.V.Q Level 4 Care Standards, Dipsw & PQ1.   Theresa has worked for many years in the Local Authority and has a vast knowledge and experience in working with “Looked after Children”    

Theresa began her career in Residential Care setting.  She worked closely with children with complex profiles. From the residential provision, Theresa was invited to join a small team to formulate a community support provision.  The objectives were prevention of unnecessary admissions into care and support of foster placements.  Her role covered staff training, assessments, child protection, and group support work.

Theresa transferred onto the Permanence Team.  She managed a diverse caseload and practised in child protection and long-term care planning.  Theresa has undertaken various child care assessments including Form E and Aims Assessments.       

In 2005, Theresa joined Lorimer Fostering Services.  Within the fostering consultant role, Theresa provides high quality support to our foster carers, has undertaken initial and Form F assessments.   Theresa is the agency representative for the Lorimer Fostering Panel.
