A member of our dedicated fostering staff will be available to talk to you about any general enquiries, concerns or questions you may have, or will be more than happy to send you out an Application Pack.

If you decide to continue further with the process then simply fill in the application form and return it to us. Providing you are able to meet the essential criteria to become a foster carer, one of our social work staff will get in touch with you within 2 working days to arrange a ‘Pre-Assessment Visit’.

Pre-Assessment Visit

The Pre-Assessment Visit is an opportunity for us to start the formal assessment process with you, and also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have, or raise any anxieties you may be experiencing about the fostering task, or the assessment process. It may be helpful for you to write down a list of questions you have prior to the visit, and our social workers will endeavour to answer any concerns you may have. Please be as open and honest as you can in this situation and remember there is no such thing as a stupid question!

After this visit a decision will be made as to whether or not to proceed to a full BAAF Form F Assessment.
